Privacy Policy

StockClash ("we," "our," or "the App") is operated by Zackery Atlas. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use StockClash.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your email address, username, and experience level. If you sign in with Apple, we receive your Apple ID identifier and, optionally, your email address.

Game Data: We collect gameplay data including trades executed, portfolio performance, game results, leaderboard rankings, streaks, achievements, and career mode progress. This data is essential for game functionality.

Device Information: We collect your device type, operating system version, app version, and timezone. This helps us deliver notifications at appropriate times and diagnose bugs.

Push Notification Token: If you enable notifications, we store your device's push token to deliver daily challenge reminders and game updates.

2. Information We Do NOT Collect

StockClash does not collect:

• Real financial account information (bank accounts, brokerage accounts, credit cards)
• Social Security numbers or government IDs
• Precise location data (GPS coordinates)
• Contact lists or phone numbers
• Health or biometric data
• Browsing history outside the App

StockClash is a game. All trading is simulated with virtual currency. No real money is at risk, and no real financial data is processed.

3. How We Use Your Information

• To operate the game: process trades, compute leaderboards, track streaks and achievements
• To send push notifications you've opted into (daily challenge reminders, match results)
• To improve the App through anonymized, aggregate analytics (e.g., which game mode is most popular)
• To provide customer support when you contact us
• To detect and prevent cheating or abuse

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information to anyone. We share data only in these limited circumstances:

• Leaderboards: Your username and game performance are visible to other players on public leaderboards. No email or private data is exposed.
• Analytics (Mixpanel): We use Mixpanel for anonymized analytics. Mixpanel receives event data (e.g., "game completed") with a hashed user ID. They do not receive your email or username.
• Error Monitoring (Sentry): Crash reports are sent to Sentry to help us fix bugs. These may contain device info and anonymized usage context but not personal data.
• Payment Processing: Subscription payments are handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not process or store any payment information.
• Legal Requirements: We may disclose data if required by law or to protect the safety of our users.

5. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on Supabase (cloud-hosted PostgreSQL) with the following protections:

• All data encrypted at rest (AES-256)
• All connections encrypted in transit (TLS 1.3)
• Row-level security ensures users can only access their own data
• Authentication tokens are stored in your device's secure keychain

6. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. Game results and trade history are kept indefinitely for leaderboard and analytics purposes. If you delete your account, all personal data is permanently removed within 24 hours. Anonymized, aggregate analytics data may be retained after account deletion.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access your data: View your profile, game history, and achievements in the App
• Correct your data: Update your username and profile in Settings
• Delete your data: Delete your account in Settings → Delete Account. This permanently removes all your data from our servers.
• Opt out of notifications: Disable push notifications in Settings at any time

8. Children's Privacy

StockClash is rated 4+ and does not knowingly collect data from children under 13. The App does not contain real gambling, real money transactions, or mature content. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, please contact us and we will delete it.

9. California Privacy Rights (CCPA)

If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect and request its deletion. We do not sell personal information. To exercise your rights, email privacy@stockclash.io.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via in-app notification or email. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance.
